I, like many children, grew up on stories of Amazonian rainforests. The amazing biodiversity which exists there has been under slow siege since before I was old enough to comprehend this fact. Allowing the corporation to control the .amazon TLD would make ICANN complicit in the destruction of the rainforests, both by elevating a company which heedlessly continues the destruction of climate change and by depriving an opportunity for visibility to the countries which exist in the Amazon River Basin.
